About Edward
Amateur Golfer, Piano and Chess Player, enthuiastic reader
Started to learn golf from 6 years old, Edward has great passion for this game and looks forward to play collegiate or professional golf when he grows up. Edward started to play in golf tournaments since 2018 on SCPGA, US Kids Tour, SDJGA, FCG Tour, Recruitlook Golf, Drive Chip & Putt local and regional tournaments. Edward is a fast learner and enthusiastic golfer. He not only loves this game but also learn knowledge of golf histroy, tradition, famous players as well as other related information.
Edward was born in a golf family. His dad usually bring him and his brother Michael on the course. Edward and his brother Michael team up in UsKids 2019 Southern California Team Challenge tournament. His young sister Katie, who is 4 years old, just started to learn golf and Edward is her first coach. Golf has become big part of his life and will be the same for the future.
Off the course, Edward is a good chess player and enthuastic piano learner. He has played in many local, state and national chess tournaments and earned many trophies into his trophy collection. He is also a fast and serious piano learner. He earned State Honor in California Certificate of Merit in 2019. Edward also loves drawing. He drew wherever he has his pencil and paper on hand. Playing golf makes him embrace the outdoor breath and gives him a good body. Playing chess gives him logicial thinking and rigorous attitude towards life and playing piano and drawing gives him art and romatic feeling.
Academically, Edward is also an outstanding student. He won gold medal in 2019 33rd Annual Los Angeles County Regional Science Olympiad. He also has deep love of reading. He called himself a "bookworm". He reads wide variety of books, scientific fiction, adventure, mystery, history, biography and even poem. One of his favorite quote: “It is not true we have only one life to love, if we can read, we can live as many lives and as many kinds of lives as we wish.” ― S.I. Hayakawa
